Well Clear Channel has flipped the former AC Gold WSNI "Sunny 104.5" to "Rumba 104.5" as tropical. Gah, if this is anything like the former rumba on 107.1 (The quadcast in the NYC/Jersey area), then it probably won't last long.

WSNI has never been able to keep a format. They have changed their format alot over the years.
The format WSNI has now, I'm not happy with.

GRR!! Why all of a sudden all these format flips? Either a DJ gets let go, or a format flips. (I guess that's how it is these days). I never listened to that station, so I can't really can't comment. But I've been noticing a lot of Format Flips lately, and changes. (most by CC) well not all by CC, but some.

I don't care much for clear channel not after they let me go at my internship because of my disability.

Ah david. First it was country in the 70's, then in the 80's it was horible AC with Don Kannon doing mornings before he went to WOGL, then it was "Star 104.5" WYXR a Hot AC/CHR/ModernAC? format... (yes it varried through all of those in the 90's. Then in Nov '99, it went to WLCE as "Alice 104.5" as Rock AC, then slowly started adding in some Hot AC tracks, then in 2001 it was AC Gold WSNI "Sunny 104.5", then it wwent s slowly to an AC Gold/Oldies, then AC format, then most recently bback to AC Gold again, before it finally left us for good. Eaks! Though the most changes in the Philly area happend to 106.1 as CHR. WTRK " Electric 106", WZGO "Z106" WEGX "Eagle 106", wow.

Troy. They let you because of your disibility?? That's not right!!!!! Discrimination right there!!!!! Oh my gosh!! How horrible!! I am beginning to not listen to CC stations, after WLIT let Melissa Forman go, and replaced her with the horrible, Wanna-be-radio-host, Whoopi Goldberg. I'm lovin Movin 93.9 in LA though. Which ironicly, isn't a CC station! I wish CC would start making better disitions.

I can't stand Clear Channel! I sometimes run into those stations when I'm scanning the dial, and they're always playing the same songs over and over and over again.

Most formats play the same stuff over and over again. At least some, (LIke CHR) have new stuff added in with older recurrence. Unlike let's say, oldies or classic rock for example.

clear channel is ok, they have a great fm talk station here. real radio 104.1 and same thing happened here in early 2005. the big 100 flipped from an oldies station to rumba 100.3 damn spanish stations. and yes there has been a lot of formate changes lately. Like 2 weeks ago an 80s station changed to jack fm!

Great market you are in, too. WTKS Orlando/Coco beach. Strong signal also. I like your Hot AC WOMX "Mix 105.1". You guys are also still lucky to have an alturnative station down there. WMMO is a nice blend of soft AC/today's AC with some live talent that complaments the music without the extra chatter. Magic 107 is a nice mainstream AC as well. I preferd the oldies at 100.3 too. Ashaim that went away. "XL 106-7" used to have better imageing and jingles two years ago then they do now in my opinion. Yes, Orlando is an interesting market.
